The crown screw appeared to be stripped, which made it impossible to keep it pushed down on the watch when received, which was fine considering it is a vintage piece; however, it stopped running within a month. The product was described as mint condition, however, it did not seem to be in working order. The dealer seems to have a 1-year warranty policy; however, I tried to contact them on their website and did not receive any update as of now.

The watch was not as described it was so over polished the Rolex logo was almost flat to the clasp. The white dial was full of dents and the bracelet was two links short. Also it took me almost 4 weeks to resolve because the dealer didn’t call back after countless calls into Chrono24.

Dealer wasn't responsive at all. Watch isn't working properly either, it changes its date at 4 of clock every 24 hours instead of changing at 12 like a normal watch. The description said it was working perfectly.

The watch came in defective and the seller only option is to send the watch back for them to fix. I ask if I could take it to a certified Rolex dealer and they decline. Sending the watch back was not an option for us. So I paid out of pocket to have it fix.

Ich hab die falsche Uhr geschickt bekommen (falsche Referenz) und nachdem ich das bewiesen hatte (musste die Uhr öffnen, da das geschickte Modell von außen gleich aussieht, aber innen ein anderes/älteres Kaliber hat), hat sich der Verkäufer nicht mehr gemeldet. Weder mir noch dem Chrono24-Support hat er zurückgeschrieben. Ob mit Absicht oder aus Unwissenheit die falsche Uhr geliefert wurde weiß ich nicht, spricht aber beides sehr gegen den Verkäufer. — I got the wrong watch (wrong reference) and after I proved it (had to open the watch because the watch he sent me looks the same from the outside but comes with a different/older calibre) the seller didn’t answer me anymore. He replied neither me nor the Chrono24-Support. I don’t know if it was purposely or lack of knowledge that he sent me the wrong watch but both speaks very much against the seller.

The watch is currently at a third appraiser as there are issues with the serial number (indicates a 1943) and model number matching (6605 which wasn’t made until ‘56). The description of the sale also indicated an authentic Rolex leather band, which was not included. The dealer relies heavily on what is pictured trumping their description, although packaging/boxing substitutions and watch band substitutions were made without first consulting me. I have had two parties contest the authenticity of the watch band clasp. I never received a certificate of authenticity from the dealer, even though one has been requested. The appraisal from the dealer was sent with no detailed information. Simply the photo from the listing and an appraisal number. The dealer offered to send images of alternate leather bands and never did. When I conveyed all of these concerns, their reply was simply “it’s real” and “you can send it back”. I would have instead preferred the detailed information I requested to help me verify the authenticity of the piece.

Yes the watch was an 18 karat case, yes it was a Venus caliber 170 movement. However the timing when received was horrendous, the verticals and horizontals were in the hundreds of seconds negitive! And then to add insult to injury the movement would not run more than a few hours and certainly not completely through the night even though,,, " it had been serviced recently"!!!!! There was a lack of trust in their answers, that I had to pull out of them, just didn't feel good about they're insensitive remarks they were very obtuse! So I decided to do the job myself! I serviced it and at the same time installed a new #911P white alloy power reserve spring into it. I'm happy with the watch now. Be sure you ask many questions "BEFORE" you purchase that's what I would advise you. With all due sincerity. Richard

Dealer did not deliver original paperwork as advertised (no paperwork at all was supplied). The advertisement clearly stated with original paperwork. Some of it was even pictured. Hence false advertisement and misleading value.

Customer service is important! Especially when spending $10000. Item didn’t start to ship more than two weeks after I had paid. Multiple messages to seller had no response. I had to get Chrono24 to intervene twice to try and get some indication of when I’d receive my watch! Probably the worst buying experience I’ve ever had. Which is a shame considering the product and price were great. Too much stress to use this seller
