The seller was prompt to handle my order and communicate order status to me. The shipping and packing of the watch was entirely satisfactory. There were two things in my opinion that were lacking with this purchase however: the first is the display box. I was surprised to see the leather (or perhaps synthetic leather) was tattered around the edges of the cuff insert precluding its function for display. But it is after all a box which most people generally tuck away in storage. And any disappointment regarding its condition could also be directed toward Omega's construction of the box. Notwithstanding, there is also some disappointment saved for the lack of communication regarding the condition of the display box and the photograph does not serve to show this. The other deficit was a lack of mention anywhere of a need for servicing of the watch. Being listed as "Very good" it is understood the movement has been serviced to an adequate extent, while "fair" would indicate the movement may require servicing, as per Chrono24's breakdown of watch condition terminology. Given the near flawless condition of the exterior of the watch I can understand why it was listed as very good. And while the watch serves its function well, there was a problem of the so-called "helicopter effect" when winding the watch from stopped. (The oscillating weight spinning freely and rapidly while hand winding the crown; simply a problem with the reversing wheels in the calibre). This is not a catastrophic issue (yet), and the watch as I had said serves its function well all the same. I had not communicated these issues with the seller when I had received the watch to give them an opportunity to ameliorate these problems as the seller is in a different country than myself. Instead, I opted to take it to my local Omega dealer to submit it for a complete service, and in fairness to the seller not even the people at my local Omega dealer understood or even knew about the existence of such a thing as a spinning rotor issue when manually winding the crown. In the end it was an additional expense I had not expected to incur quite so soon but I can admit to appreciating the peace of mind of having a full service completed at the start of my ownership of this watch.
