I have mixed feelings about this dealer. The review asks - "would you recommend this dealer" - to which my preferred answer is 'maybe', rather than 'yes' or 'no'. I will explain. How accurate were the pictures and description of the item: The watch advertised was sold as "New", but it was obvious after receiving it that it had been worn before, with noticeable scratches around the bezel and the extra attached strap had been worn. The photographs of the watch online gave no indication of these faults, which I found surprising. Prior to shipping, I asked the dealer to confirm that the watch was unworn and NOS to which the dealer responded, "yes the watch as advertised". To the dealer's credit, as soon as I let them know about the condition, they immediately accepted that a mistake had been made and arranged for the watch to be collected. This was carried out promptly and the cost of the return courier was borne by the dealer. How was the communication with the dealer? Initially the dealer was quite good at responding to my messages but as soon as the watch arrived at their address I heard nothing back from them for over 6 days, despite repeated messages asking them to confirm the condition. Eventually they did respond but not before I had already reached out to Chrono24 as I didn't understand why the dealer had not replied to any of my messages. No explanation was given for the radio silence. So, in summary, after 25 days I now have my money back. But the process has been time consuming and unnecessarily drawn out. I recognise that mistakes do happen but was also disappointed that the dealer failed to check the condition of the watch prior to dispatch when there was every opportunity to do so. Their communication could have been much better.
